PAL @Hiroo Pumpkin Carving

We sang “H.A.L.L.O.W.E.E.N”, “Knock Knock, who’s there?” and read the book “It’s Pumpkin Day Mouse” to introduce today’s activity. The book has different pumpkin faces such as happy, sad, surprise, angry which the children tried to mimic.

We started carving the pumpkin, the children helped each other take out the stuff inside the pumpkin, we felt the texture which is sticky and slimy. Some us us liked it and some of us chose to just watch our friends do it.

We also counted the seeds and soaked it in water to easily separate it from the pulp.

It was interesting and fun! Then in the afternoon we got the chance to choose what pumpkin face we will carve!

We all want a HAPPY pumpkin!
Taking out the pulp is so fun!
