今日新しいお友達が園に来ました。ボール遊びをしたり、音楽で一緒に楽しみました。

Today we had a new friend come to our school. We played with a ball a enjoyed music time together.

今日は音楽を奏でたり聞いたりして楽しみました。最初はマラカスや鈴、鳴子でリズムよく演奏していました。

すると突然、なぜか誕生日の歌を歌い始めました。（今日は誰の誕生日でもないのですが、、、）

アースラン先生がピアノで誕生日の歌の弾き方を教えてくれました。

Every enjoyed playing and listening to music today. We started by rythmically using maracas, bells, and naruko–small wooden clappers. At one point the children started to sing happy birthday (even though it wasn’t anybody’s birthday today). Arslan introduced how to play the birthday song on the piano.

先週捕まえた虫が茶色い蛹になりました。枝を登って蛹になると子どもたちは予想していましたが、葉っぱの下で蛹になりました。
子どもたちはじっと観察する姿が見られました。
「これは何になるのかな？」
ルーカスは「蛹が茶色だから黒い蝶々になるのかな？」

The caterpiller we caught last week has turned into a brown pupa. We were expecting it to climb a stick to form a chrysalis, but to our suprise it changed under a leaf. The children and teachers observed it curiously. What kind of insect will it become? Lucas said it might become a black butterfly. 

これから必要な土などを探しに行きたいと思います。

We will give it some dirt and more leaves soon.
